Saint Genevieve
Perched on the west bank of the Mississippi River. This lovely town has charm and ambiance due to the remarkable preservation of a colonial settlement.
We will conclude our tours with a cooking class with Chef Yvonne Lemire at the Rosemary and Thyme cooking school, located in one of the oldest sites in Missouri, the vital Ste. Gemme Beauvais House.
Cape Girardeau
Cape Girardeau is the perfect place to wind our way through the spectacular natural vistas to meet the local farmers and vintners.
We will dine at the fabulous J Brick Pottery and Sunset Ridge Vineyard, with hosts Julie & Steve Bricknell - a lot to Show & Tell you on their beautiful property, everything from functional stoneware pottery to wine.
After touring their place there will be a cooking demo/dinner on site. Where a chef will use an outdoor brick oven to prepare your wonderful meal.
The Southern Tip of the State
River Ridge Winery, situated in a century old farm house, and nestled in the hills above the Mississippi River, is owned by Jerry Smith, winemaker, and his wife, Joannie. The hand tended grapes are grown on the hills behind the winery. Afterward, enjoy a meal prepared by Joannie.
