The Famous Fossil Winery in Cedarville, IL, is one of the first biodynamic vineyards around. First described in 1924 by Rudolf Steiner, biodynamic farming is an internationally recognized set of farming techniques mostly concerning proper use and composition of natural fertilizers. Famous Fossil planted its vineyards only four years ago, so it is a very young enterprise and has yet to make a name for itself in the wine world. On the 2008 wine tours, guests visit Famous Fossil and taste the delicious wines with our vintner hosts, Ken and Pam Rossmann! We know from tasting, their wines will be delicious...
